Star Wars Aluminum Tarot Card Patches Set #24
This is Set #24 of our Star Wars Tarot Card collection.
Nine of Swords:
The nine of swords tarot card depicts a woman sitting up in her bed, her head in her hands, surrounded by nine swords hanging on the wall behind her. She looks like she has just woken up from a terrible nightmare, or perhaps she is still trapped in one. She is alone, isolated, and tormented by her fears and worries.
This card can symbolize the pain and anguish that Anakin Skywalker felt when he learned that his mother Shmi had been kidnapped by Tusken Raiders, a savage tribe of nomads on his home planet of Tatooine. He had left her behind when he joined the Jedi Order, hoping to free her someday. But he was haunted by visions of her suffering, and he felt helpless and guilty for not being able to protect her.
The nine of swords tarot card represents Anakin’s inner turmoil, his deep-seated fears, his secrets, and his inability to cope with his loss. It also reflects his isolation from his friends and allies, who could not understand or support him in his time of need. It shows how his nightmares became reality, and how his reality became a nightmare.
Ten of Swords:
The ten of swords tarot card represents a painful yet inevitable ending, a deep loss, a betrayal, a crisis, a collapse, a breakdown, a victim mentality, a martyrdom, a bottoming out. All of these aspects can be seen in Obi Wan’s confrontation with Anakin on Mustafar. It is the end of their relationship as friends and allies, the end of Anakin’s life as a Jedi and a human being, the end of the Republic and the Jedi Order as they knew it. It is a loss of trust, respect, love, hope, and faith. It is a betrayal of their values, their oaths, their promises, their bonds. It is a crisis that shakes the galaxy and changes its course forever. It is a collapse of Anakin’s body and mind, a breakdown of his sanity and morality. It is a victim mentality that makes Anakin blame everyone else for his choices and actions, a martyrdom that makes him sacrifice everything for a false cause. It is a bottoming out that leaves him with nothing but pain and suffering.
These patches were made using aluminum blanks with a full color die sublimated transfer and hook-backing. They measure in at just under 3.5” tall. Only 50 sets are being made. Limit of 4 sets per person.
